Senate spokesman Yemi Adaramodu has dismissed Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s attempt to resume plenary as “skit making.”

Natasha, who represents Kogi Central, was suspended in March for six months over alleged misconduct. Although a Federal High Court later ruled the suspension unconstitutional, Senate leadership insisted she remain barred pending the official court documents.

On Tuesday, Natasha arrived at the National Assembly complex to resume, but security blocked her entry, leading to a standoff. Her supporters tried to push through, causing traffic and tension at the gate.

Speaking to journalists, Natasha said her rights and those of her constituents were being violated. But Adaramodu, in an interview on Channels TV, said lawmakers aren’t actors and described her actions as a “content creation saga” that has turned into a “season film.”

He also said only the court or its bailiffs can enforce rulings—not Natasha herself.
