Security operatives on Monday blocked PDP’s Board of Trustees from holding a meeting at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Officers cleared the NEC hall and ordered members out, insisting no meeting should take place. A senior officer was overheard saying, “Make sure nobody is meeting upstairs either.”
The move comes amid heightened tension in the party over the leadership crisis involving acting National Chairman Umar Damagum and Deputy Chairman (South), Taofeek Arapaja. The two camps are split over who the legitimate National Secretary is.
