The Nigeria Police Force has resumed issuing tinted glass permits nationwide.
The process, which had been suspended, is now digital and accessible via posap.gov.ng.
Applicants must provide their National Identification Number (NIN) and Tax Identification Number (TIN), along with biometric data.
The police said the move follows complaints over harassment by officers and aims to regulate the use of factory-tinted windows.
A 30-day grace period begins May 1, 2025, while enforcement starts after that.
Officers found extorting motorists will be punished, the police warned.
