The Nigerian Air Force says it has destroyed more than 100 illegal oil refining sites in the Niger Delta from January to May this year.
Airstrikes carried out under Operation Delta Safe also hit 53 boats, 74 cooking tanks, and several vehicles used by oil thieves, according to NAF spokesman Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet.
The missions, flown across key areas like Port Harcourt, Okrika, and the Imo River axis, are part of ongoing efforts to curb crude oil theft and protect vital national assets.
Gabkwet said the air operations have weakened criminal networks and helped safeguard Nigeria’s oil infrastructure.
