The Plateau State House of Assembly has received a supplementary budget of ₦74.6 billion for the 2025 fiscal year.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang, in a letter read by Speaker Naanlong Daniel on Friday, said the proposal was aimed at addressing urgent needs, boosting infrastructure, and promoting social cohesion across the state.
The House immediately gave the bill its first and second readings after a motion by Majority Leader Joseph Gokum, which was seconded by Minority Leader Gabriel Dewan.
The Speaker later referred the bill to the Committee on Appropriation for further scrutiny and recommendations.
During plenary, lawmakers also debated a motion on a windstorm that recently hit Foron District in Barkin Ladi LGA and directed the Clerk to forward their resolution to the appropriate authorities.
Speaker Daniel commended members for their dedication and urged them to remain committed to Plateau’s development.
