Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said the country is prepared to restart military operations in Gaza “at any moment” if necessary, vowing to achieve the war’s objectives.

Speaking at a ceremony for combat officers on Sunday, Netanyahu stated, “We are prepared to resume intense fighting at any moment, our operational plans are ready.” His remarks came a day after Israel suspended the scheduled release of Palestinian prisoners under a truce agreement.

Netanyahu added that while most of Hamas’s organized forces had been dismantled, Israel would ensure the war’s goals are fully met “whether through negotiation or by other means.”

The current ceasefire, which began on January 19, temporarily halted more than 15 months of intense fighting in Gaza. However, with no progress in negotiations for a lasting truce, the situation remains uncertain as the first phase of the ceasefire nears its early March deadline.
