The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has revealed that the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) inherited a debt of N8.9 billion.
Speaking at the APC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja, Ganduje attributed the debt to expenses from pre-election legal battles, election cases, and appeals at various levels.
He stated that APC National Legal Adviser, Prof. Abdul Kareem Kana (SAN), is working to reduce the financial burden and appealed to the NEC for intervention.
The meeting was attended by President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, governors, and other party leaders.
