The Federal Government aims to create over 10 million jobs by 2025, leveraging Nigeria’s role as Africa’s Digital Trade Champion under AfCFTA.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, represented by Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment at the AfCFTA Digital Trade Workshop in Abuja.
He highlighted Nigeria’s progress in digital commerce, mobile payments, and financial inclusion, positioning the country as a key player in Africa’s digital economy.
The VP also announced the appointment of Dr. Adamu Mohammed Abdulhamid as chairperson of the WTO Committee on Trade and Services Special Session.
Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, emphasized digital trade’s role in empowering youth and SMEs, while Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani praised the Tinubu administration’s ICT progress.
