Nigeria’s Federal Government has declared Tuesday, April 9th and Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, as public holidays, to mark the Eid-El-Fitr celebration.
In a statement by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on Sunday night, the minister congratulated Muslim faithfuls for the successful completion of Ramadan fast and called on them to imbibe the virtues and values attached to the month.
The statement, signed and made public by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Aishetu Ndayako, Mr. Tunji-Ojo called on Nigerians to practice love, tolerance, peace, good neighborliness, and compassion, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
The statement read, “The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Tuesday, 9th and Wednesday, 10th April, 2024 as public holidays to mark Eid-El-Fitr celebration.
The Minister of Interior, Dr. Tunji-Ojo, congratulates all Muslim Ummah for the successful completion of the fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
“Tunji-Ojo calls on Muslim Ummmah to imbibe and practice the virtues that entails kindness, love, tolerance, peace, good neighborliness, compassion as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
