Elder statesman Bisi Akande has claimed that the #EndSARS protests in 2020 were orchestrated to derail President Bola Tinubu’s political ambition.
Speaking in an interview with media personality Edmund Obilo, Akande alleged that the movement was driven by the Obidients and originated from the United States.
“The Obidients, not Peter Obi, were behind EndSARS. It was manufactured from America and brought in just to stop him,” he said.
Akande added that the movement initially aimed to evolve into a political party but struggled to do so. He also noted that Obidients played a key role in Tinubu’s defeat in Lagos during the 2023 presidential election.
