Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, says he will contest again in 2027 and is ready to serve only one term if elected.
Speaking during an X Space session, Obi said any coalition he joins must focus on ending insecurity, reviving the economy, and fighting poverty.
“I’ve not discussed joint tickets with anyone, but if there’s an agreement to serve for one term, I’ll keep to it,” he said.
Obi criticised President Tinubu for spending more time abroad than in other parts of Nigeria and promised that under his leadership, votes will count, and governance will focus on security, education, and anti-corruption.
