The FRSC in Ondo State says 170 people died in road crashes in 2024, with 778 others injured.

Sector Commander Dr. Samuel Ibitoye said 2,423 people were involved in total. He blamed speeding, impatience, and reckless driving, especially on highways.

He urged drivers to stay cautious, saying: “It’s better to arrive late than not at all.”

In Edo, the FRSC recorded 14 deaths and 34 injuries from road crashes in March 2025, mostly linked to brake failure, overspeeding, and phone use while driving.
