Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that two Chinese nationals were captured while fighting for Russian forces in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region.
Zelensky shared documents and personal data of the prisoners, revealing that these two men are not isolated cases, with many more Chinese nationals reportedly fighting for Russia.
He has called for an official response from China, describing the development as a sign that President Putin aims to prolong the war.
The prisoners are in the custody of Ukraine’s SBU security service.
