Tinubu Postpones FEC Meeting in Honor of Late Chief of Army Staff, Lagbaja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has indefinitely postponed the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in respect for the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, who passed away on Tuesday night. Initially set for today, the FEC meeting will be rescheduled, with the new date to be announced soon.

Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga shared that President Tinubu has ordered flags nationwide to be flown at half-mast for seven days in Lagbaja’s honour. The president extended his condolences to both the Lagbaja family and the Nigerian Armed Forces, acknowledging General Lagbaja’s dedication and service since his appointment as Chief of Army Staff on June 19, 2023.
