President Bola Ahmed Tinubu lightened the mood on Wednesday during his 2025 budget presentation to the National Assembly when he mistakenly referred to the 10th Assembly as the 11th.
While addressing the joint session, Tinubu stated, “I hereby present the 2025 budget to the joint session of the 11th National Assembly.” The legislators promptly corrected him, to which he jokingly replied, “10th? I wrote 11th, which means you’re all re-elected.”
The moment, captured in a viral video, sparked laughter across the Assembly.
