The Nigerian Oil and Gas Suppliers Association (NOGASA) says fuel scarcity may return if Dangote Refinery begins distributing petroleum products directly.

Speaking at the group’s AGM in Abuja, NOGASA President Benneth Korie said Dangote plans to roll out 4,000 trucks without involving existing suppliers. He warned this could sideline thousands of independent marketers and lead to job losses.

“We support the refinery, but Dangote should sell to depot owners. That way, distribution remains balanced,” he said.

PETROAN President Billy Gillis-Harry also expressed concern, saying full control of refining and distribution by one company could disrupt the fuel supply chain.
