The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, says Nigerians must not give up hope, despite current economic challenges.
Speaking in Kaduna at the commissioning of Darul Ilm, a centre for Islamic studies built by DSS DG Oluwatosin Ajayi, the Sultan said Nigeria has the human and natural resources to recover.
“This school was built for orphans by a non-Muslim. That shows unity and compassion. We must keep hope alive and invest in education,” he said.
The school was renamed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Centre for Islamic Studies.
Finance Minister Wale Edun, Kaduna Deputy Governor Hadiza Balarabe, and other dignitaries praised the project as a symbol of progress and inclusion.
