Politicians, Soldiers Aiding Boko Haram — Zulum

0

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, says some politicians, soldiers, and locals are secretly working with Boko Haram.

Speaking on Breakfast Central, Zulum said his government would crack down on anyone sabotaging efforts to end insurgency.

“We have informants within the military, politicians, and communities,” he said. “We’ll strengthen intelligence and deal with them ruthlessly.”

He added that force alone won’t end terrorism. “We need social and economic solutions too. In six months, we can stop this madness if we do the right thing.”

Zulum also raised concerns over poor military equipment and warned that some repentant insurgents may return to violence.

Despite challenges, he praised the military’s role and urged President Bola Tinubu to rely on ground-level intelligence and expert advice.
