The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has shut down the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) for scheduled maintenance.
The company said the shutdown, which began Saturday, May 24, is part of a planned sustainability assessment aimed at improving the refinery’s performance.
In a statement, NNPCL’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Femi Soneye, said the exercise is being carried out in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
He assured the public that updates on the maintenance process will be shared through NNPCL’s official platforms.
