The National Assembly Management has refuted claims that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will present the 2025 budget proposal to the legislature on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
In a statement signed by Director of Information Audu Bullah Biallah on behalf of the Secretary for Research and Information, Dr. Ali Barde Umoru, it was clarified that the 2024-2026 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper (MTEF&FSP) is still pending approval by the National Assembly. This procedural step must precede the budget presentation.
Dr. Umoru distanced himself from the reports and warned against the spread of false information attributed to his office. He urged the public to rely on official communication channels for accurate updates regarding the National Assembly’s activities.
