Nigeria has recorded 11 new Lassa fever cases, raising the total number of confirmed infections to 822, with 155 deaths so far in 2025, according to the NCDC.
The latest update shows that most cases came from Ondo, Bauchi, Edo, Taraba, and Ebonyi. The death rate now stands at 18.9%, higher than last year’s 17.1%.
The NCDC urged the public to stay alert, especially in high-risk areas, and report symptoms early.
