The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has opened its job recruitment portal for young Nigerians.
According to FIRS, the portal, firs.gov.ng/careers, will open at 12 a.m. on November 2, 2024, and remain accessible until November 14, 2024.
The available roles are for Tax Officers (Officer II and I), with successful applicants assigned to work across eight states: Lagos, Anambra, Oyo, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, and Ekiti.
Candidates for these positions must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (or HND) with a First or Second Class Division in disciplines such as Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, Law, Engineering, and Computer Science. Other acceptable fields include Actuarial Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Digital/Electronic Marketing, Statistics, and Taxation.
Applicants must be no older than 27 years and must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) no later than December 31, 2021.
The agency also cautions applicants against fraudulent recruitment activities, advising, “Be cautious of fraudulent recruitment schemes; apply only through the official FIRS website.”
