The Federal Government says Rivers State’s allocation may not be released unless the appointed administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (Rtd), formally requests it.
Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, stated this on Wednesday, explaining that the Supreme Court had withheld the funds due to the ongoing political crisis.
He added that the president acted after all mediation efforts failed.
