The Federal Government has dropped charges against Ibom Air passenger Comfort Emmanson and cut Fuji legend KWAM1’s flight ban from six months to one.
Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo said Ibom Air agreed to withdraw its complaint after Emmanson apologised for a clash with a flight attendant that led to her lifetime ban.
KWAM1’s suspension was reduced after he apologised for obstructing a ValueJet flight. Two ValueJet pilots suspended over the incident will also return after a month.
Keyamo said both cases were resolved on compassionate grounds, with plans to retrain aviation security staff to better handle disruptive passengers.
