Police have arrested a dispatch rider, Matthew Adoche, for stealing medical equipment worth N34.4 million meant for the Zamfara State Government.
He was hired to deliver the items in Lagos on April 15 but disappeared with them. After switching off all lines, he was traced to Benue and arrested.
Police say the items were recovered, except for an ultrasound machine Adoche sold for N1 million. He claimed to have left the rest with his sister in Anambra.
Investigations are ongoing, and he will be charged soon.
