Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has revealed that she would not date any of her colleagues in the music industry.
In a recent interview with Coco Jones for Rolling Stone’s Musicians on Musicians issue, Ayra Starr shared her ideal partner, describing her dream man as a billionaire who can support her lavish lifestyle.
When Coco Jones asked, “Would you want to date someone who’s in your industry because they’ll get it?” the 22-year-old singer replied with humour, “In the dream world, it wouldn’t be somebody in the (music) industry. Probably just like a billionaire. On a yacht. In Dubai. In a thong.”
In a separate conversation with Angela Yee on the Way Up show, Ayra Starr disclosed that she has yet to find love. When asked if she was currently in a relationship, she responded, “I am not in love yet, but soon.”
Last year, the MAVIN Records star shut down rumours about a romantic relationship with fellow artist Rema, clarifying that “he is my brother.”
Ayra Starr’s rise to global fame was bolstered by her hit single “Rush,” which gained significant international recognition in 2022. The song charted in several countries, including Switzerland, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, where it peaked at number 24.
