Vehicles destroyed after Borno TV tower collapses

A transmission tower belonging to the Borno Radio Television Corporation (BRTV) has been brought down by rainstorm on Thursday.

Several vehicles parked near the scene were said to have been damaged when the mast fell on them.

Authorities have yet to make clarification on the degree of damage as well as whether or not residents will experience disconnection.

Residents of Maiduguri have reportedly been bracing for the first rain of the year, which was eventually accompanied by a storm.
