Super Sunday: Enugu Rangers battle Enyimba in Oriental Derby

The stage is set for the heavyweight clash between Enugu Rangers and Enyimba in the famed Oriental derby in the Match Day 2 of the Nigeria Professional Football League at the F.C IfeanyiUbah Stadium, Nnewi tomorrow. 

Both teams have won the league titles previously and will be prepared to outdo each other to have bragging rights in the derby.

The ‘Flying Antelopes’ defeated the ‘Peoples Elephant’ 2-0 in a delayed matchday 19 fixture while in the reverse fixture in Aba, it ended 2-1 in favour of the host.

The clash will also see Coach Abdul Maikaba leading his wards against his former employers, Enyimba, and he is confident of a good outing.

“With the response of my players to the drills we have for them, I am confident of coming out of the match with our heads held high,” Maikaba declared.

Fans are certain of entertaining football on Boxing Day and will be expectant to see what both coaches will do to outdo each other as well as the new playing personnel in the different camps when the game kicks off by 4pm today.
