NPFL: Enyimba, Rivers Utd in heavyweight showdown

It will be fireworks today at the Enyimba International Stadium when Finidi George -led Enyimba play host to Rivers United in the Match Day 3 of the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League.

Enyimba which have made it 5 wins from 5 games so far in all competitions will want to maintain the winning streak against the Port Harcourt-based side.

Since 2016, the team of Enyimba International and the team of Rivers United played 11 games among which there were 4 wins of Enyimba International and 4 draws.

Currently, Enyimba rank 2nd and will want to overtake Remo Stars, while Rivers United hold 4th position.

In Markurdi, Lobi Stars will host Shooting Stars of Ibadan while defending champions, Akwa United, battle Gombe United at the Nest of Champions in Uyo.

Abia Warriors basking in the 1-0 victory in the last game will look to maintain the momentum when they take a trip to Minna to face Niger Tornadoes.

Enugu Rangers will look to return to winning ways after the loss to Enyimba when battle Sunshine Stars away.

Okigwe Stadium will play host when Dakkada FC take a trip to Imo for a date with Heartland while MFM FC will welcome Plateau United.

Wikki Tourist will be guests to Kwara United while table leaders, Remo Stars, will play hosts to Nasarawa United.

Meanwhile, the clash between Katsina United and Kano Pillars will take place on Thursday at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina.
