Three police officers were killed in Kebbi State during a gun battle with suspected Lakurawa terrorists on Friday evening in Zogirma, Bunza LGA.
Police spokesperson CSP Nafiu Abubakar said the attackers opened fire while targeting commuters on the Zogirma–Tilli road. Officers engaged them in a shootout, killing some of the terrorists, while others escaped with injuries.
The Kebbi Police Commissioner, CP Bello Sani, commended the bravery of the fallen officers and urged the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
