Residents in some rural areas of Lagos State are struggling to keep a roof over their heads as house rents continue to soar on a yearly basis.

Residents, particularly in the Agege area, have decried the steady increase in rental costs. Many houses in these rural communities, with some lacking modern features now go for ₦400,000 and above per annum, placing significant financial pressure on low-income earners.
