Christmas: Foundation donates 600 bags of rice, N1m to Christians in Kebbi

The Khadimiyya Foundation has donated 600 bags of rice and N1m to Kebbi State branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for distribution to Christian orphans, widows, and the vulnerable people in the state.

Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, who is the founder of the foundation, said this on Saturday while speaking with newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.

He said the donation also covered non-indigene Christians in the state.

Malami said the gesture was aimed at sharing in the festive period of Christmas as celebrated by the Christians faithful worldwide.

Malami, represented by the Chairman of the distribution committee of the foundation, Isyaku Abdullahi, said the distribution of the palliative was a formal signpost that signified a peaceful coexistence between the Muslims and Christmas Christians faithful in the state.

“The Khadimiyya for Justice and Development Initiative (KDI) in collaboration with Khadi Malami Foundation, donated 600 bags of rice and N1m cash to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for distribution to orphans, widows, and the vulnerable people in churches in the state.

“The distribution of palliative justified the fact the Muslims and Christians are all living peacefully with in Kebbi State. Among those to benefit from the gesture include non-indigene Christians and members of the Christian youth movement in the state,” he said.
