‘Buhari’s handling of insecurity‘ll boost oil and gas’

The Institute of Oil and Gas Research and Hydrocarbon Studies (IOGRHS) says the improved security in the country is a boost to the development of oil and gas in the country.

The Director-General of the institute, Ambassador Moses Essien, said this weekend in Abuja at the IOGRHS Product Forum “Abuja 2021”.

He said the technical committee of the institute held the forum sequel to additional discovery on their current research project with the theme ‘Exploration of the Use of Palm Wine as Fluid Control Agent in Water-Based Drilling (Fluid) Mud.’

The oil and gas sector is about to witness monumental growth following the demonstration of patriotism and the current actions of President Muhammadu Buhari,” Essien who is also a staunch member of the All Progressives Congress, said.

“The Petroleum Industry Act, when fully implemented, shall drive domestic and international investment including capital in-flow to the petroleum industry.

“The decision by the Federal Government to pass the PIA will contribute in boosting the growth and development of the Nigerian economy and at the same time create employment opportunities,” he added.
