Bayelsa allocates 1,000 plots for housing scheme

The Bayelsa State Government said it has allocated 1,000 plots of land for a low-cost housing scheme for civil servants in the state.

Governor Douye Diri, who announced this on Saturday in Yenagoa during the 2021 Workers’ Day celebration, directed the commissioner for finance and the Head of Service to work out modalities for immediate implementation of the annual salary increment for workers.

Diri appreciated workers in the state for their support which, he said, had contributed to the success of his administration and restated his commitment to their welfare.
